Position Description:

 

The Lead Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and oversees all technical facets crucial for project completion, encompassing data collection, equipment specification, quality assurance, testing, and commissioning. This role offers flexibility in location, with preference given to candidates in New York and California.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise drafting team members to generate comprehensive project documentation.
  • Conduct site installation supervision and quality control inspections to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and client requisites.
  • Perform thorough site walkdowns to gather requisite data for accurate engineering documentation.
  • Review and authorize engineering documents.
  • Expand electrical product and service portfolio.
  • Create and maintain product documentation.
  • Uphold the accuracy of performance and quality measurement systems.
  • Provide support to the project management and service departments as needed.
  • Assist the sales department in proposal preparation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to fulfill company objectives and strategic goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in low voltage power distribution systems design.
  • Registration or ability to be registered as a professional engineer, preferably in New York or California.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Fluent in English, French literacy preferred
  • Thorough understanding of electrical code regulations.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Familiarity with internal LV switchboard/switchgear design is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of electric vehicle (bus or automobile) systems is ideal
