About the Role

As Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of strategic and operational procurement for complex, large-scale energy storage projects. Working closely with internal teams across technology and project management, as well as external suppliers and contractors, you will ensure an efficient, timely, and cost-effective procurement process — from market analysis and tendering through to contract negotiation and handover.

 

Your Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Market Analysis

  • Develop and implement a cross-project procurement strategy for key product groups and services
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate relevant markets, technologies, and supply trends
  • Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities across the procurement lifecycle

 

Supplier & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations focusing on quality, reliability, and performance
  • Support the development of long-term sourcing strategies and framework agreements

 

Tendering & Offer Management

  • Prepare and manage comprehensive tender documentation in collaboration with engineering and project management teams
  • Oversee the entire tender process, including bid coordination, supplier communication, and support during contract negotiations
  • Perform commercial and technical bid evaluations and provide well-founded award recommendations

 

Contract & Order Management

  • Oversee contract preparation, documentation, and approval workflows
  • Ensure seamless handover to project management and finance teams
  • Maintain process compliance and transparency throughout procurement and contract management

 

Your Profile

  • Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable technical or commercial field
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in strategic or technical procurement, ideally within energy infrastructure, renewables, EPC, or plant engineering
  • Proven experience managing complex tendering and award processes
  • Strong market knowledge of suppliers and components in the renewable or energy storage sectors
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English
  • Structured, self-driven working style and a high degree of process reliability
  • Confident use of MS Office; experience with ERP or AVA systems is advantageous
