Location: Rome

Full-time: Office-based with travel

Piper Maddox are partnered with a growing renewable energy IPP operating across large-scale wind and solar projects in Italy. As the business continues to expand its pipeline, they are seeking a Grid Connection Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale assets.

This is a key position within the Engineering team, responsible for managing grid connection processes with national operators and ensuring efficient project execution from development through to commissioning.

You will take ownership of grid connection activities across multiple projects, acting as the primary interface with grid operators and supporting technical and commercial decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage grid connection applications for HV and MV projects via operator portals
• Act as the main point of contact with grid operators, including Terna and Enel
• Coordinate technical discussions, meetings, and working groups
• Conduct technical and economic feasibility assessments for connection solutions
• Support engineering teams with grid-related design documentation
• Oversee connection processes through construction and into operation

Requirements
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years’ experience managing grid connections for utility-scale renewable projects (10MW+)
• Strong knowledge of Italian grid regulations and connection procedures
• Experience working with HV and MV infrastructure
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent Italian and good English
• Willingness to travel nationally

Senior Development Manager

Senior Development Manager - Commercial London Office Location - 2/3 days per week Salary Range Dependent on Candidate Experience: £80,000 - 90,000 Piper Maddox are currently partnering with an international leader in the development of renewable energy. Our client have been a driving force in the industry for over 15 years and the UK arm of the business is one of the core territories looking ahead. This company have an excellent track record in the development, construction, and operation of large scale Solar & BESS projects as a fully fledged IPP. Crucially, they have the demonstrable evidence of success in the full project lifecycle and are one of the most reputable names globally. In terms of pipeline, this company have an excellent portfolio of projects that received positive notification results in the Gate2 process. Pairing this with strong funding, our client are a very stable proposition amidst all of the grid reform changes. With clarity still filtering through in terms of connection dates, our client see a great opportunity to expand their portfolio, alongside existing development efforts. The aim to achieve this with the hire of a Senior Development Manager who has a blended skillset across project development and commercial acumen.
