Piper Maddox are exclusively supporting a rapidly growing renewable energy IPP at a really exciting stage of their expansion, as they continue to scale their utility-scale solar portfolio across the UK. With a strong pipeline of projects and significant backing, they are playing a key role in accelerating the UK’s transition to clean energy.

 

As part of this growth, they are now looking to bring on a Site Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of a flagship utility-scale solar farm. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of a high-impact project, working alongside an experienced team and contributing directly to the build-out of critical renewable infrastructure.

 

They are looking for candidates with:

  • SSSTS

  • First Aid qualifications

  • Full UK driver’s license

  • Proven experience working on ground mount solar projects

Senior Development Manager

Senior Development Manager - Commercial London Office Location - 2/3 days per week Salary Range Dependent on Candidate Experience: £80,000 - 90,000 Piper Maddox are currently partnering with an international leader in the development of renewable energy. Our client have been a driving force in the industry for over 15 years and the UK arm of the business is one of the core territories looking ahead. This company have an excellent track record in the development, construction, and operation of large scale Solar & BESS projects as a fully fledged IPP. Crucially, they have the demonstrable evidence of success in the full project lifecycle and are one of the most reputable names globally. In terms of pipeline, this company have an excellent portfolio of projects that received positive notification results in the Gate2 process. Pairing this with strong funding, our client are a very stable proposition amidst all of the grid reform changes. With clarity still filtering through in terms of connection dates, our client see a great opportunity to expand their portfolio, alongside existing development efforts. The aim to achieve this with the hire of a Senior Development Manager who has a blended skillset across project development and commercial acumen. Key requirements include: > Project Development experience, leading projects through key land, grid, and planning milestones towards the RTB stage. > Experience in contributing to extensive due diligence on a project's viability when assessing project acquisition opportunities. > Strong financial modelling experience in terms of running the model, forecasting revenues, and maintaining detailed project models. > Experience in key investment decisions for project progress, managing project budgets & timelines, alongside the core project development responsibilities. The team has an end-to- end approach for their projects, looking at new approaches to new technologies. Over the last 30 years, the team has grown significantly. They now boast a strong pipeline, of solar and wind in development, finance, building and operational stages.They also have a strong company culture, each country having their own specific feel, but with a strong organisational sense. Your main role will be to manage both a team and high voltage designs for large scale renewable enegry projects.The main responsibilites are Working on technical responsibilites across electrical, protection and control and civil designs.Working on designs and connections up to and including 132kV.Liaising directly with DNOs and TSOs for designs and connections.Managing DNO submissions.Working closley with various stakehodlers, both internal and external for techncial submissions and queries.Ensure designs are compliant with relevant standards, as well as staying up to date with legislations. Managing a team of engineers. About you:Ideally we are looking for somebody with strong knowledge of protection and control works.
