I have been engaged by nationally recognized engineering consultancy in the renewables space who exclusively focus on utility-scale Solar, BESS & Substation projects. They have built over 25GW of Solar and BESS projects since their inception.

 

They are now looking for a Senior Power Studies Engineer to join the team as they renewables revolution continues in the US!

 

Responsibilities:

  • You will carry out the analysis, design, and optimization of power systems such as short circuit, grounding, co-ordination & arc flash.
  • Overseeing projects from start to finish, focusing on power quality, reliability, and system efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree
  • P.E Preferred
  • 6+ years experience with 2 years of experience in managing projects.
  • Knowledge of power plant modelling software such as ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PSS/E, CYMCAP.
  • Understanding of renewable engineering systems

Grid Electrical Engineer Up to £65,000 DOE + package including car allowance and bonus.Durham Office- 4 days a week UK based developer of onshore wind, solar and storage backed by a key investor in the industry. For the last 20 years, this onshore renewable developer has been on a mission to support the transition to a net zero future. They have recently seen an influx of investment from a key investor in the renewable energy market which is seeing a great period of growth over the organisation for the coming years. They have strong company culture that is now being invested in heavily through their new investment partner. They pride themselves on their values, placing people at the heart of the organisation. Their mission is simple; to drive the use of world-class sustainable renewable developments. Our client has put a high value on team collaboration and a particular focus on a three-pronged approach between land, planning, and grid. You would be joining a highly collaborative and innovative team, where clear communication throughout the business is promoted.In your role as a land manager, your position would include: > Identifying suitable pieces of land for renewable energy developments - solar & BESS. > Undergoing the commercial negotiations necessary to complete a land acquisition process. > Managing and maintaining strong and long-lasting landowner partnerships/relationships. > Liaising with the grid & planning teams to ensure full site feasibility.In terms of commercial negotiations, while all aspects of a land acquisition negotiation are important, experience in securing option agreements, as well as working on easements would be very valuable.This would be a fantastic opportunity for a land manager in the renewables sector to undertake a new challenge, or a chartered surveyor with renewables experience looking to move developer-side to be closer to projects.This company also puts a high value on transferrable skills - if you are a surveyor in rural space, or work predominantly on large scale utilities projects, it would definitely be worth a discussion!
