Director of Project Finance
Austin, TX, USA

Piper Maddox has partnered with a leading international renewable energy investor, and owner/operators, in the hopes of finding their new Director of Project Finance!

This company is a major player in international markets, with over 4GW of utility-scale renewable energy in their portfolio, spanning across the entire Eurasian continent. Being exclusively focused on solar, wind, and BESS, these guys are already making a significant impact to the energy transition, with the most viable and accessible means of renewable power generation, and are looking to continue that process here in the US!

They entered the US market in 2020, with an absolute bang, in the form of a multi-GW greenfield portfolio acquisition in ERCOT, and have been ramping up development operations, with NTPs hitting on 3GW of solar and standalone storage assets. They have now fully transitioned into the execution phase, and are ready to start putting polls in the ground, and making this pipeline a reality.

They are looking for a Director of Project Finance to own the project finance modelling function within the organization, act as the internal SME/resource on the IRA, tax-equity, and optimally financing the immense amount of power generation that they are looking to bring live. This is naturally a truly integral piece of the equation for their continued growth, and would offer the opportunity to own a preeminent function in a growth-oriented business, that has the capital backing to realize their vision.

The ideal candidate would have:

-at least 5 YOE in renewable energy project finance

-expert level financial modelling ability, with specific expertise around tax-equity and debt financing

-the ability to live in or relocate to Austin, TX
