Position Overview:

As a Civil Engineer specializing in stormwater OR land management, you will play a pivotal role in our renewable energy projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and sustainable development of solar, BESS, and wind projects, with a focus on minimizing environmental impact and optimizing land use.

 

Responsibilities:

Stormwater Management:

  • Design, implement, and manage stormwater systems for renewable energy projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses to assess water flow and runoff.

 

Land Management:

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to plan and optimize land use for solar, BESS, and wind installations.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for land suitability.
  • Implement erosion control measures and sustainable land development practices.

 

Coordination:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and environmental specialists.
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Ensure projects adhere to timelines and budget constraints.

 

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction activities meet quality standards.
  • Implement measures to enhance project efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in stormwater management and land development for renewable energy projects.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools for engineering analysis and design.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Planning Manager - Solar/BESS - Remote
London

Planning Manager - Solar/BESS (including DCO work) - Remote - up to £65,000Piper Maddox are working with a European Solar/BESS developer who are looking to add a planning manager to their UK team, this person would have direct reports within the existing team.They have a total project pipeline of 3.5GW split across multiple large scale transmission, and multiple distribution projects as well. Plus a decent portfolio of solar + BESS due to go into construction across 3 sites.They have a much more 'relaxed' approach to how they work. Everyone does quality work but if something goes wrong they won't play the blame game.
