Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Managing Director (MD) to lead fundraising, deal origination, investment execution, and asset management activities across Europe. The MD will be a key member of the leadership team, driving growth and building lasting relationships with investors, partners, and portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Investor Relations
Lead capital raising efforts from institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and strategic partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with LPs and co-investors.
Act as a key representative of the firm at industry events and investor forums.
Deal Origination & Execution
Source, evaluate, and execute infrastructure investment opportunities across energy, utilities, and related sectors.
Lead negotiations, structuring, and due diligence processes.
Build and manage a pipeline of investment opportunities aligned with the firm's strategy.
Asset Management & Value Creation
Oversee active management of portfolio companies and assets to optimise performance and returns.
Drive operational improvements, governance, and ESG initiatives across the portfolio.
Partner with management teams to unlock growth and strategic value.
Leadership & Strategy
Contribute to overall firm strategy, business development, and expansion initiatives.
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic priorities, including new fund launches and partnerships.
Candidate Profile
Experience: 15+ years in infrastructure investing, private equity, investment banking, or a related field with a focus on European energy and infrastructure.
Fundraising Track Record: Proven ability to raise institutional capital and maintain investor relationships.
Deal Skills: Demonstrated success in originating, structuring, and closing complex infrastructure transactions.
Asset Management Expertise: Strong understanding of operational, regulatory, and ESG drivers in infrastructure.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Strategic, commercial, and innovative thinker with the ability to build and scale platforms.
Leadership: Inspirational leader with experience managing teams and portfolio company executives.
Languages: Fluent English required; additional European languages an advantage.
