With a strong focus community solar programs, distributed generation, and small-scale utility projects in the US. With a robust pipeline exceeding 2 GW in various stages of development and over 200 MWs of completed projects.

 

They are now looking to add an Solar Project Developer to the team!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate site control agreements with landowners, ensuring efficient project progression.
  • Coordinate with third-party engineering firms for due diligence and project deliverables.
  • Navigate the interconnection process with utilities, tracking milestones and managing timelines and costs.
  • Secure land use permits and approvals from Local Government Units (LGUs) to facilitate project development.
  • Prepare projects for construction commencement in coordination with US Solar’s construction team.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including landowners, utilities, and LGUs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor market factors, legislation, and regulations impacting project development.
  • Prepare budget requests for internal project approvals.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Site Selection, Origination, Legal, Finance, Construction, and Asset Management.

This person will be responsible for achieving project objectives by ensuring compliance with safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction standards. Piper Maddox is exclusively partnering with an exciting international solar IPP to help them fill a brand new Project Development role focused on the Southeast and Midwest. This role will offer an opportunity to join their team early in the US and have a huge impact on how the business continues to grow.With business units in Europe, Asia, and the US this business is making amazing strides by tapping into the region's growing demand for clean energy. Since 2008 they have developed over 1 GW of solar projects and have an additional 5 GW in the pipeline.We are currently looking for a Project Developer to join their team as they continue to expand their project development team and open new business opportunities.Required ExperienceIdeally looking for someone with 3-6+ years' experience working in utility-scale solar or energy storage projects.It would be great if this person had experience developing greenfield projects in the Southeast or Midwest.Must have experience in land acquisition, and early and late-stage development of utility-scale projects.Exposure to preparing and executing Power Purchase Agreements.Comfortability with/ability to understand financial modeling and analysis to evaluate project economics, including cost estimation, revenue forecasts, and return on investment calculations.In addition to compensation package, this business can offer you job security and an exciting and challenging work culture.
