Kohler is one of the oldest and largest privately held companies in North America, mostly known for their kitchen and bath business. They have multiple industries and products that they create. One of which is their power generator manufacturing unit, which is one of the larges in the world. Traditionally they have offered power generation equipment for residential, industrial, mobile, marine applications, and more.


The challenges they were facing.

They have been gradually scaling up their UK team with key strategic hires to compliment the internal organic growth of their existing employees. 

This is a great example of a client Piper Maddox has grown alongside, being able to assist with hires across multiple different business units over three plus years by truly understanding the company's values and goals. 


The solutions we presented.

Kohler had an extensive internal recruitment team, however they were not too familiar with the clean energy industry and the challenges that the industry faced, specifically when it came to energy storage experience. They realized that they needed to engage with a specialist firm that could help get their story to the market and attract talent in an industry that has never been more competitive.

Piper Maddox was able to leverage our Energy Storage team, which had been working in the space for 7 years, and our Grid Edge division to support across several different disciplines and skill sets.

We supported across sales, application engineering, product development, embedded engineers, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, controls engineering, and more.

Throughout the partnership (2021-2023) we were engaged across 65 different vacancies, represented 458 candidates, of which 408 were selected for interview, resulting in 48 placements.
