We are working exclusively with a leading player in the renewable energy sector who is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to strengthen their organisation as they continue to grow their onshore wind portfolio.


The Role

As their new Engineering Manager, you will oversee and develop a group of engineers and designers responsible for the planning and execution of wind farm infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.


Your key responsibilities will include:

Team Leadership: Guiding, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers, ensuring smooth coordination across all project phases.
Technical Oversight: Reviewing and optimising infrastructure designs (e.g., access roads, crane pads, cable routes) to support efficient and cost-effective project delivery.
Project Support: Contributing to tendering processes, cost assessments, and feasibility studies for new projects.
Collaboration: Working with development and construction teams to optimise layouts, reduce costs, and maximise project performance.
Quality & Compliance: Ensuring work meets internal standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Driving knowledge sharing within the team, organising training sessions, and promoting innovative solutions.


Your Profile

A degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, renewable energy or related).
Proven experience in leading technical teams within EPC or infrastructure projects, ideally in the wind or renewable energy sector.
Strong project management skills with a track record of coordinating complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Solid understanding of technical planning processes and infrastructure design.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in German (C1) and confident in English (B2).

DCO Project Development Manager (Solar & Battery Storage)

This company have been a mainstay in the market for over a decade, and have been on a superb run of form for a number of years leading into 2025 and are showing no signs of slowing down through the rest of the year. Within the current renewable energy sector in the UK, stability is a key consideration when identifying a new role. This company are hugely stable on both a financial level and also when it comes to their project portfolio. They are backed by a world class international investment firm, and are currently working on a multi-GW pipeline of utility scale Solar and BESS projects.Our client take these projects from inception, through development, and into the RTB stage. In the Gate2 process, they maintained their entire project portfolio, and have had a high volume of success in the planning space - keeping their 100% consent record intact, which is a hugely impressive statistic.This company has reviewed their strong position in terms of funding and project portfolio, and have implemented some very exciting plans to add a delivery and construction team to their in-house capabilities to transition into a fully fledged IPP. With this in mind, you can rest assured that you will see your projects come to fruition. Within their portfolio, they have a diverse mixture of TCPA level projects, as well as DCO scale projects. This means that you would be working at the forefront of the clean energy transition on some of the most significant projects in the UK. As such, prior experience in this type of project is important for this role.They are looking to add a Project Development Manager to their team who will be focused on progressing the pipeline through the planning & consents stages, managing project timelines & budgets, representing this company at public consultation events, as well as liaising with the company's land and grid teams. In this role, I am looking to speak with candidates with experience in securing planning consents and managing DCO applications ideally for renewable energy projects or major infrastructure industries. If you have experience on this type of project and work within a fellow developer, a planning consultancy, or a local authority - this could be a good match for you. You would be joining up with a tight knit and collaborative team where the sharing of ideas and expertise is promoted.
