Our client is a fast-growing solar construction specialist with more than 50 employees in Europe. They have delivered projects up to 100MW in size and are expanding into the Italian market with multiple projects planned between 10MW and 20MW.



The role

You'll focus on the design and early-stage costing of solar projects. The position is office-based in Milan, with some time spent in France for training. This is not a contracts or execution role - your focus will be on design and preparing accurate costings for projects.



Key responsibilities

* Design solar sites using PVcase, Pvsyst and AutoCAD

* Contact subcontractors to request procurement offers

* Build and maintain price lists with margins

* Prepare technical briefs to support project development

* Support accurate project cost planning (training provided where needed)



What we're looking for

* Engineering background, ideally with 4-5 years' experience

* Previous on-site experience, now looking to move into an office role

* Understanding of construction activities and costs, with good contractor contacts

* Proficient in PVcase, Pvsyst and AutoCAD

* Fluent in Italian and English; French is a plus

* Detail-oriented with strong technical design skills
