Join an ambitious onshore wind developer in Berlin and take ownership of the delivery of innovative wind farm projects from planning through to commissioning. Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of wind farm projects in the execution phase, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with internal project teams, technical departments, authorities, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Ensure all conditions and requirements of environmental permits (BImSchG) are met and coordinated on schedule.
  • Identify project risks early and develop solutions in partnership with experienced colleagues, taking ownership of problem-solving.
  • Coordinate construction and logistics processes, attend on-site inspections, and ensure compliance with all technical and legal requirements.

 

Your Profile

  • Degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, urban/regional planning, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Initial professional experience in project management, ideally in wind energy or other renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong organizational skills, structured and solution-oriented work style, and solid technical understanding.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and confident interaction with diverse project stakeholders.
  • Proficient in IT systems (MS Office) and holding a valid driver’s license (class B).
  • Fluent in German and good command of English (spoken and written).

They are hiring for a Manager für Netzanschluss/Grid Connection Manager who will work across their 1 GW pipeline in Germany. You will act as an individual contributor and grid specialist, completing grid connections for BESS, solar, and wind, from planning up to RTB. Project Delivery Director - Solar, BESS, Onshore Wind Oxfordshire Office Location - Hybrid Working Pattern Salary Range: £80,000 - 100,000 + up to 50% bonus Piper Maddox are working alongside a renewable energy company who have been a strong presence in the industry for over 20 years. Our client cover the full project lifecycle, taking their projects from inception, through the development stages, into delivery, and then managing the full construction and operation of their assets. They have an excellent track record of delivering on their development pipeline and have a demonstrable track record in successfully constructing their utility scale renewable energy projects. At this moment in time, they have an active development pipeline totaling over 1.5GW and four of these schemes are in the latter stages of development which are set to move into delivery in the near future. These projects are part of a diverse technology portfolio, including Solar, Battery Storage, and Onshore Wind. When putting all this together, you are left with a very stable name in the space, who have some exciting but also solid plans for their team going forward. They have strong international funding, a very experienced team, and the aforementioned pipeline, meaning you can rest assured you will see your projects come to fruition. They are currently looking to add a Senior Leader in the sector to their team who will be responsible for taking projects over from the late stages of development, taking the project on into delivery, and liaising with their in-house construction function to move the project through key milestones on it's way to construction and operation. This role will take the form of a Project Delivery Director and the ideal candidate here would have over 5 years of direct experience in the below matters.
