Role: PV/BESS Desing Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £50,000

Piper Maddox is representing a global, leading renewable energy IPP who boast a diverse range of projects across Europe and Africa. As their pipeline continues to grow, so does their expert team and in house capabilities.

My client focuses on developing, owning and operating utility scale Solar and BESS plants. They are looking to bring in a PV/BESS Design Engineer to grow inside of an expert team. This role presents an opportunity to design utility scale solar projects across the world and allows for you to visit these global sites. Therefore, this opportunity boasts both professional development and a chance to travel to incredible global locations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete energy yield assessments and Solar PV/ BESS designs.
  • Draft and review electrical designs, SLDs to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Occasional visit to global sites to ensure projects are meeting quality expectations.
  • Provide technical support to development and construction teams.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of PVsyst, AutoCAD and utility scale projects.
  • Degree in a relevant Engineering, Mathematics or Physics degree
  • Experience with Power BI and Python is a bonus.
