They are looking to hire a Senior Development Manager to their team who will take on a mix of project focused and leadership responsibilities. Strong applicants for this role will have 5 and above years of experience in the development of renewable energy schemes in the UK industry. In this role, you would be responsible for: > The management of utility scale developments through from inception to the RTB stage before handing over to the construction team. > Management and mentoring of more junior members of the development team, as well as coordination with other internal planning, grid, and engineering teams. > Leading on landowner negotiations including heads of terms, option to lease agreements, and land access rights, as well as maintaining landowner relationships through the project lifecycle. > Ensuring commercial viability of a project including managing budgets, financial models, and keeping projects running to agreed timelines. Produce, review, and approve all core technical design outputs, including single-line diagrams, site layouts, cable sizing calculations, containment strategies, and equipment specifications using industry-standard design tools. Serve as the primary technical interface with UK network operators and connection providers, leading grid connection applications and managing approvals through to acceptance. Develop, document, and standardise engineering design processes, methodologies, and technical specifications from the ground up. Commercial & Sales Support (30%) Act as a key technical stakeholder supporting commercial teams during early-stage client engagement, site assessments, and competitive tendering processes. Prepare concept-level designs, budget estimates, and technical narratives that support bid submissions and business development activity. Senior Construction Project Manager - (Utility-Scale BESS) Location: Munich (Full home office considered)Salary: Up To €100,000 The OpportunityI am supporting a leading international renewable energy developer and operator in the appointment of a Senior Project Manager – Construction to deliver large-scale battery energy storage (BESS) projects in Germany. The company is one of Europe’s largest grid-scale battery storage platforms, with 1+ GWh of installed capacity and a rapidly growing German pipeline. The business covers the full project lifecycle, from development and permitting through construction and long-term operations. The RoleYou will take full ownership of construction delivery for German BESS projects of up to 300 MW, acting as the owner’s representative and managing EPC or multi-contract delivery models.
