Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will take full ownership of project schedules and budgets for large-scale solar installations, typically ranging from 5–8 MW, with some projects up to 30 MW. This role requires strong leadership to manage and mentor a team of two junior Project Managers, ensuring successful project delivery and team development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Manage and mentor two Project Managers.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to elevate team performance and project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
  • Support organizational growth and scalability initiatives.

 

Requirements

  • *Location*
  • Eastern Iowa preferred
  • Illinois also acceptable (Chicago area)
  • Des Moines acceptable
  • PMP certification required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Commercial & Industrial solar projects (not residential).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop project management teams.
  • Familiarity with projects in the 5–8 MW range; exposure to larger projects is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% to job sites in Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.
