Piper Maddox have recently partnered with a U.S.-based energy technology firm specializing in advanced energy storage solutions. This brand new, patented solution utilizes previously overlooked minerals to improve the lifespan of Battery systems.

This product has application across Residential and commercial back-ups for MicroGrids, Data Centers, EV Charging and various other Critical Infrastructure systems.

We are looking to add a Controls & Integration Engineer to the team. This position is fully remote and available to start immediately.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • This person will be responsible for all the software systems inside the product.
  • Responsible for collaborating with outside, 3rd party Engineering firms. Also responsible for completing hands on work regularly.
  • Heavily involved in the Functional Performance Testing, Factory Testing and involved in the SOP.

The ideal person will have a background similar to the below:

  • Experience with PLC programming is required.
  • The ideal person will come from an Industrial or Controls Automation background.
  • Any modelling experience is a bonus.
  • Hardware-in-the-loop experience is a strong bonus
  • Experience with PLC Programming, SysCad etc.
  • This person must have a strong background across Power Electronics. This can include Transformers, Switchgears, ESS, Circuit Breaker Design, Invertors and more).

This role will play a key part in shaping protection strategies for 33kV and 132kV grid-connected assets, supporting projects across solar, BESS, wind, and hybrid schemes.The roleYou’ll act as a technical authority for protection and control design, leading the development of compliant, adoptable protection schemes from early concept through to commissioning.
