You will lead and deliver engineering work packages across R&D and R&T programmes, developing robust mechanical solutions for rotating electrical equipment — ensuring designs are technically sound, manufacturable, cost-conscious and aligned to programme milestones.The role blends hands-on design responsibility with technical leadership and cross-functional coordination.Key responsibilities: Developing mechanical design solutions for aerospace motor and power generation technologies Owning or supporting engineering work packages from concept through validation Overseeing and approving design solutions delivered by other engineers Producing and maintaining CAD models, drawings and BOMs to aerospace standards Delivering design assurance documentation, calculations and stress/thermal justification Supporting root cause investigations and technical risk reduction activities Driving Design-to-Cost and Design-for-Manufacture/Assembly principles Providing mentoring and technical guidance within multi-disciplinary project teams You’ll work closely with Mechanical Design, Stress & Thermal, Industrialisation, Supply Chain, V&V and Quality teams to ensure mature and robust engineering solutions are delivered against programme targets.
