Piper Maddox are currently working alongside a leading international name in the renewable energy sector who are looking to grow their project development capabilities for their UK operations with the hire of an experienced development professional.

 

This company have been a mainstay in the industry for many years now and have a global presence across multiple continents. The UK is one of their core markets and they have built up an excellent track record in the development, construction, and eventual operation of utility scale Solar, Onshore Wind, and Battery Storage projects.

 

With all the grid goings on amidst Gate2, this company are most definitely one of the most stable propositions in the industry. They secured strong Gate2 notification results, and pairing this with excellent funding results in a company that have a strong upward trajectory looking ahead as well as a long term plan and vision for their UK entity.

 

As a fully functional IPP, our client have a strong team with in-house capabilities across development, construction, asset management, as well as the corporate legal and finance functions. The next step in their growth plans is to add a Senior Project Developer to their development team.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

> Leading development activity for a pipeline of Solar, Wind, & BESS projects at various stages of development.

 

> This includes managing the land transaction, the planning & consents process, aligning with the grid team on connections, as well as overall project management through to the RTB stage.

 

> Mentoring more junior members of the development team, passing on expertise and advice on key project milestones.

 

> Assisting and managing the handover of projects at the RTB stage on to your colleagues in the delivery and construction team.

 

This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Development Manager to join up with a very stable and well established business where you will be able to take ownership and leadership over the full development lifecycle.
