Piper Maddox have recently partnered with an EV Charging Infrastructure organization that partner with a variety of customers including Commercial Properties, Retailers & Municipalities.

Together, we are searching for a number of Lead Electricians to join their team across the US. Positions range from Florida (Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami or Tampa) through to Georgia (Atlanta) and Texas (San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Houston).

This organization offer both Level 2 & Level 3 (DC Fast Charging) options, they cover the full project lifecycle which includes site design, site assessment, engineering, permitting and O&M services.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry using hand tools and power tools.
  • Trouble-shoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems or components using the appropriate testing equipment to find and correct the failure.
  • Use of ohm meter, volt meter, amp probe and megger is required
  • Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lighting.
  • Inspect electrical system and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements. Verify proper operation of the electrical system.
  • Advise management, customers and fellow workmen when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate.
  • Assist estimator with material take-off, material cost and labor allowances.

Background

  • A minimum of 1 year experience, can go as high as experienced foreman. 
  • Experience working on EV installation projects would be highly valuable. 
  • Licensed in the relevant state. 
  • Strong knowledge of the various standards and codes.

Electrical Engineer

Piper Maddox have recently partnered with an exciting start-up with one mission – reducing the number of gas-powered vehicles and increasing the adoption of Electric Vehicles (EV) in the United States.Currently, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the team. This person will be responsible for designing, developing and validating all electrical systems.In this position, you will be tasked with a number of things including: Integrate new electrical systems across multiple departments and support their implementation into production.Develop and design electrical systems using ECAD software, including the creation and prototyping of electrical harnesses.Install electrical components and systems on prototype vehicles while maintaining thorough and accurate documentation.Perform vehicle and bench-level electrical testing, record results, and manage system documentation through PLM platforms.Coordinate with electrical vendors and contractors while operating equipment safely, maintaining an organized workspace, and adhering to all applicable safety procedures. The ideal candidate will have a background similar to the below: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2–6 years of relevant professional experience.Background in automotive, aerospace, or EV power electronics, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles applied to vehicle systems.Hands-on experience designing and prototyping both 12V and high-voltage power distribution systems.Familiarity with CAN hardware and software protocols, along with the ability to safely operate basic shop equipment.
