  • This position is newly created to support the growing needs of the business. This position reports into the VP of Project Development.
  • The primary responsibilities of this position will be focused on full lifecycle project development. Identifying new development opportunities, feedstock supply, and other opportunities that fit into their development strategy. Additionally, assist in the procurement of biogas feedstock, such as dairy, swine and poultry manure, food waste, processing sludges, and agricultural waste, or raw biogas, to enable the construction of methanol and DME production facilities near feedstock streams.
  • The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience for Associate Director, or 5-7+ years for Director level.
  • This candidate needs to have experience working with biogas, as well as various feedstocks and waste streams (food waste, ag waste in particular)
    • Other considered experience (less desirable) include RNG, biodiesel, or other renewable liquid fuels.
  • This person ideally needs to have experience working In agriculture, waste, energy or other comparable fields.
  • This person needs to be Entrepreneurial, Hungry, and willing to work collaboratively and independently to support Jeffrey and the growth of the wider business.

This person will be responsible for achieving project objectives by ensuring compliance with safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction standards. This position requires travel to various project sites across the US, with assignments typically lasting 8-12 months. A daily per diem is provided to support living expenses, along with routine home travel rotations. Utility-Scale Project Developer

Piper Maddox is exclusively partnering with an exciting international solar IPP to help them fill a brand new Project Development role focused on the Southeast and Midwest. This role will offer an opportunity to join their team early in the US and have a huge impact on how the business continues to grow.With business units in Europe, Asia, and the US this business is making amazing strides by tapping into the region's growing demand for clean energy. Since 2008 they have developed over 1 GW of solar projects and have an additional 5 GW in the pipeline.We are currently looking for a Project Developer to join their team as they continue to expand their project development team and open new business opportunities.Required ExperienceIdeally looking for someone with 3-6+ years' experience working in utility-scale solar or energy storage projects.It would be great if this person had experience developing greenfield projects in the Southeast or Midwest.Must have experience in land acquisition, and early and late-stage development of utility-scale projects.Exposure to preparing and executing Power Purchase Agreements.Comfortability with/ability to understand financial modeling and analysis to evaluate project economics, including cost estimation, revenue forecasts, and return on investment calculations.In addition to compensation package, this business can offer you job security and an exciting and challenging work culture.
