Piper Maddox is partners with a global leader in renewable energy investment and operations, established in 2006. With a robust international presence, we manage a fully operational pipeline of 4GW of utility-scale renewables across the global.

 

They have been operating in the US for the past couple of year and currently executing over 2GW of solar and 1GW of standalone storage projects, poised to expand theirfootprint significantly.

 

They are seeking a motivated Junior Power System Engineer to join our team and contribute to the forefront of renewable energy innovation. Your role will involve:

 

  • Interconnection Application Evaluation: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and grid codes for renewable projects.
  • Advanced Power System Modeling: Utilize PSS/E, PSCAD, and similar tools for steady-state and dynamic modeling.
  • Design and Analysis: Create comprehensive one-line diagrams and develop circuit models to optimize component performance.
  • Renewable Energy Integration: Model solar PV, wind turbines, and storage systems to enhance grid stability and performance.
  • Collaborative Solutions: Work closely with teams to solve technical challenges and enhance power system reliability.
  • Technical Support: Assist project managers and clients throughout all project phases.
  • Industry Engagement: Stay updated with latest developments through technical meetings and conferences.
  • Business Development: Support proposals and client presentations to drive future projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in power system engineering with exposure to modeling preferred.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in PSS/E, PSCAD, or similar software.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Organizational: Proven ability to manage tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
