The Role

You will sit in a technical pre-sales and solution-engineering team. Your job is to shape competitive BESS solutions for live customer opportunities—turning requirements into system designs, layouts and technical packages that support successful bids.

This is a rare opportunity to sit in the most senior technical seat in Germany, working inside a large international market leader with global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimise utility-scale BESS solutions
  • Analyse RFPs, define scope and assess technical risks
  • Prepare, review and present technical tender documentation
  • Support the sales team in customer meetings and contract discussions
  • Present system architectures clearly to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Track market standards, competitor offerings and grid requirements
  • Feed insights to product and engineering teams to improve future designs

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or similar
  • ~5 years’ experience in energy storage, grid or utility-scale power projects
  • Strong understanding of battery systems, PCS/inverters and MV/HV grid connection
  • Knowledge of PPC, EMS or SCADA systems
  • Confident with AC/DC design, system sizing and protection concepts
  • Experience with lithium-ion (LFP) technologies

Essential Project Experience

  • Utility-scale BESS (>5 MW)
  • PCS / inverter systems
  • PPC / EMS / SCADA integration
  • MV / HV grid connections
  • Tendering or technical proposal work in renewables or storage

If you’ve delivered large-scale storage projects and want a role that blends technical expertise with customer engagement and strategic influence, this is a strong fit.
