The company
A leading name in UK solar development and construction with over a decade of experience and a multi-gigawatt pipeline of projects is looking for this crucial addition for their team. Their teams are proud to be delivering high-quality, grid-scale solar farms across the UK and internationally. With strong financial backing and an excellent in-house delivery track record, they offer stability, progression, and the chance to work on some of the UK's most significant solar assets.

They have over 40 years of experience, contributing to over 400MW of clean energy. They now have several key projects coming into construction phases which this role will cover.

The role
You'll be responsible for day-to-day site operations across multiple UK-based solar farm projects. This is one of the most important roles for the team, looking after large teams of site based engineers and health and safety stakeholders. You'll need to be ready for a challenge and ready to embrace tough conditions on site with the team.

Key responsibilities
* Oversee all on-site construction and commissioning activities.
* Manage subcontractors and enforce quality standards.
* Lead daily site briefings, toolbox talks and HSE inspections.
* Coordinate deliveries, inspections, and construction milestones.
* Maintain daily site records, reports, and documentation.

What we're looking for
* 3+ years in solar construction, at utility scale.
* SMSTS and strong working knowledge of HSE and permitting requirements.
* Clear communication skills and a confident leadership style.
Organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.

Our client has a vast wealth of experience in the industry, and a presence in multiple global territories across four different continents. There is a nice balance with this role between working for a large company, but with a smaller direct team. You would be working with a tight knit and highly collaborative team who are all moving towards a common goal. This gives the team a "start up" feel, but you would have the stability and security of being backed by one of the largest players in the whole industry. Our client have a significant pipeline of projects in active development across the UK. Their main technology focuses are on utility scale Solar and Onshore Wind schemes. Currently, the pipeline sits at >2GW. Being an IPP, this company has an excellent track record of project delivery, so you can rest assured that you will see your projects come to fruition! They are looking at expanding their portfolio across England and Wales with the addition of a Land Acquisition/Origination Specialist. In terms of background, prior experience in sourcing & acquiring suitable land for renewable energy development is crucial. RICS/FAAV chartership is an added bonus but is not 100% essential. Your responsibilities in this role would include: > Identifying suitable parcels of land for targeted 50-100MW scale Onshore Wind and Solar developments. > Initial engagement with landowners, and managing this relationship throughout the project lifecycle. Being comfortable and confident in these circles is crucial. > Commercial negotiations for land acquisition ranging from securing landowner exclusivity, heads of terms, all the way through to finishing option to lease agreements. > Liaison with legal and development/planning teams to progress the projects on towards the RTB stage.
