Piper Maddox is partnering with a top-tier company in the Renewable Natural Gas industry to hire an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all plant operations at one of their RNG facilities in Michigan.

Position Summary:

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and a passion for sustainable energy. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of plant functions, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all plant operations, including the production of biogas, RNG, digestate, and wastewater treatment.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance through direct operational oversight.
  • Monitor and control plant systems using SCADA and HMI systems.
  • Provide leadership, training, and technical support to operators and technicians, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate clear communication across plant departments to resolve issues.
  • Oversee recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff to support plant growth and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in biogas, wastewater treatment, or industrial plant operations.
  • Proficient in interpreting PFDs, P&IDs, and electrical, mechanical, and piping drawings.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to other plant locations.
