Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Legal to lead our legal function and provide strategic guidance across the business. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing all legal matters relating to project development, financing, construction, operations, and corporate governance.



The ideal candidate will be a solutions-oriented professional with at least 5+ years of post-qualification experience, capable of working in a fast-paced, international environment. This position offers the opportunity to shape the legal strategy of a high-growth renewable energy platform and work closely with senior leadership to support the company's ambitious global pipeline.



Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary legal advisor to senior management, providing guidance on all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including project development agreements, EPC and O&M contracts, joint ventures, financing documents, and corporate agreements.
Oversee corporate governance, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
Manage relationships with external counsel and other stakeholders.
Anticipate and mitigate potential legal risks, proposing practical solutions to enable business objectives.
Support M&A activity, due diligence, and transaction structuring.
Build and lead a small, agile legal team as required, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.


Key Requirements

Law degree and qualification to practice in a relevant jurisdiction.
5+ years of post-qualification experience, with experience in the energy or infrastructure sector.
Strong understanding of commercial contracts, corporate law, and project development/finance structures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, business-focused mindset with the ability to balance risk with commercial objectives.
Comfortable operating in an international, multicultural environment.
