Role Overview

A leading environmental commodities and sustainability solutions platform is seeking a Sales Trader / Business Development professional to join its Corporate Solutions team. This is a front-office, revenue-driving role designed for a commercially minded individual who can originate new corporate relationships, structure tailored solutions, and execute transactions across environmental and energy markets.

 

Business Context

The Corporate Solutions group partners with large, mid-market, and emerging companies pursuing voluntary sustainability goals through market-based mechanisms. Core solutions include renewable electricity products, expanding Scope 1 and Scope 3 offerings, renewable fuels, and carbon-related products. This hire will play a key role in scaling the platform in a repeatable, commercial way.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and develop new corporate client relationships across target industries

  • Structure and execute environmental commodity transactions

  • Translate sustainability objectives into executable, market-based solutions

  • Build, manage, and convert a robust sales pipeline from origination through close

  • Collaborate closely with internal trading, structuring, and operations teams

  • Contribute to team leadership and mentorship as the group continues to scale

  • Represent the platform externally with strong commercial judgment and market expertise

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5–10 years of experience in environmental markets, energy markets, or adjacent client-facing commercial roles

  • Strong client ownership and senior-level relationship management skills

  • Proven ability to originate opportunities and convert them into executed transactions

  • Deep understanding of market-based sustainability mechanisms

  • Prior leadership, mentoring, or team-build experience preferred

  • Existing corporate relationships or a portable book of business strongly preferred
