Investment Analyst

Base salary: $105,000 - 115,000 with bonus

Piper Maddox is partnering with a fast-growing, well-capitalized renewable energy investment platform. This company is actively scaling its portfolio of land and infrastructure investments, supporting the energy transition by providing long-term capital solutions to project developers and landowners.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Investment Analyst to take ownership of financial modeling, deal valuations, and market research in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will play a key role in supporting investment decisions, driving transaction processes, and contributing to the growth of a business at the forefront of renewable energy infrastructure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain financial models to support inbound opportunities, active transactions, and portfolio management, with a focus on DCF-based valuations.
  • Support ad-hoc investment processes, funding rounds, and diligence on signed or pending deals.
  • Assist with post-transaction portfolio management, including sponsor reporting and investor presentations.
  • Conduct market research, maintain proprietary deal-tracking databases, and provide actionable insights for investment decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership and other analysts in a highly collaborative, in-office environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, project finance, IPP M&A, or related finance roles; renewable energy experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, particularly DCF and transaction analysis.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of workstreams and working autonomously in a lean team.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
