Senior Construction Project Manager – Onshore Wind
Northern Germany / Hamburg (Hybrid – site travel required)

Backed by long-term institutional investors, the company develops, builds and operates renewable energy projects across Europe. With an established presence in Germany and a growing pipeline of onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage projects, the business is expanding its construction capabilities locally.

This role offers the opportunity to join the German team at an early stage of growth and take ownership of construction activities across multiple projects.

The Role

As Senior Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of several wind farm construction projects from tendering through to execution and commissioning.

You will work closely with development, engineering and procurement teams in Germany while also collaborating with an experienced construction team elsewhere in Europe.

This role reports directly to senior leadership in Germany and is suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on project delivery role rather than managing a large internal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the construction phase of onshore wind projects from tendering through to commissioning

  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers and OEMs during project execution

  • Oversee site implementation, timelines, budgets and HSE standards

  • Support the tendering and contracting process for construction packages

  • Interface with internal teams across development, engineering and asset management

  • Manage multiple construction sites across Northern Germany

Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience delivering onshore wind construction projects

  • Background as a Construction Project Manager, Project Manager or similar within renewable energy or infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contractor management and project delivery

  • Engineering background preferred (civil engineering is advantageous)

  • Experience working with wind turbine OEMs is beneficial

  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on role within a small, growing team

Candidates with strong heavy civil or infrastructure construction experience (e.g. foundations, piling, major infrastructure) may also be considered if they bring relevant project delivery expertise.

Location & Working Style

  • Based in Northern Germany with 1 day per week in Hamburg preferred

  • Flexible remote working possible

  • Regular travel to construction sites required

What’s on Offer

  • Salary €70,000 – €90,000

  • Electric company car for private use

  • Opportunity to join a financially strong and growing renewable energy platform

  • High level of autonomy and responsibility within a collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment
