M&A Analyst / Investment Analyst | Renewable Energy

The Opportunity

We are supporting a growing renewable energy platform in the search for an M&A Analyst / Investment Analyst to join their team in Italy.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with 2–4 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, valuations, or project finance to step into a strategic role focused on the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments across the renewable energy sector.

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting transaction activity, financial analysis, market intelligence, and due diligence across a dynamic pipeline of opportunities in renewables.

 

This role would suit someone who is highly analytical, commercially minded, and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a business operating at the forefront of the energy transition.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess investment opportunities, transaction feasibility, and strategic fit
  • Conduct valuation analysis and scenario modelling to support internal decision-making
  • Perform market research and industry analysis to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic opportunities within the renewable energy market
  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for senior management, investment committees, and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams and external advisors throughout the due diligence process
  • Review and analyse financial statements, contracts, project documentation, and commercial agreements to identify risks and opportunities
  • Support transaction processes by tracking milestones, managing data rooms, and maintaining M&A pipeline / deal tracking tools
  • Contribute to strategic assessments across renewable energy technologies including solar PV, BESS, wind, and related infrastructure

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in M&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, valuation, investment analysis, or project finance
  • Prior exposure to the renewable energy, infrastructure, or power sector is highly advantageous
