Leading IPP working in BESS & Data centres, expanding across other onshore renewable technologies.

Up to £60,000 +Benefits DOE

Offices in North England and Central Belt, flexibility for a remote role.

Over the last decade, this IPP has been on a simple mission, to act as a catalyst   for the deployment of renewable energy assets across the UK.

They have seen major success in recent years, growing the team significantly, and expanding into new markets. Most recently, they have seen sizeable projects move through the planning approval stages, amounting to over 10GW of pipeline move through development stages. The majority of projects are based in Scotland, and experience in this market would be valuable for this role.

The team now stands at over 35, coming from various backgrounds, but all on a shared mission. Sustainability is at the heart of the group, aiming to deliver projects that reduce their carbon footprint and to leave a positive legacy. The success of their mission has been accredited to several factors, mainly their strong work in new markets and with new technologies in the market. Also their industry knowledge and experience.

They're looking for a new grid engineer to join their exisiting grid function. This has been a key division for the group, and is a crucial role for the group. The main part will be to look after connection agreements, ensuring projects are compliant to grid milestones.

We're looking for motivated self-starters that are looking for a company that prioritises your progression. For this, we're open to varying levels of experience. Whether you’re an electrical engineering graduate with knowledge of the UK connection process or completing a renewable enegry degree, this is also open to you!

Support permitting, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities. Review engineering work completed by external consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and applicable engineering codes. Provide technical guidance throughout construction, commissioning, and plant start-up. Prepare technical specifications, scopes of work, and support vendor selection through technical evaluations. Contribute to project CAPEX and OPEX estimates, scheduling, constructability reviews, and project risk assessments. What We're Looking For Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience, ideally supporting utility-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects. Experience designing renewable energy facilities, substations, transmission infrastructure, or other heavy civil projects. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, structural design, and applicable engineering standards. Experience with: AutoCAD GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar) Microsoft Office Suite Revit, Tekla, or other BIM platforms (preferred) Civil 3D (preferred) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
