Piper Maddox have recently partnered with a market leading Electric Vehicle Manufacturing business. Together, we are searching for Senior Powertrain Engineer to join the team.

This business, A venture-backed mobility startup are reinventing the RV category with a fully electric, software-defined travel trailer that blends smart home technology, automation, and sustainable energy for off-grid living. Built by a team with experience at leading consumer tech and EV companies, it targets a premium, eco-conscious customer through a direct-to-consumer model.

In this position, you will be responsible for both building new Powertrain systems from the ground up & maintaining/ improving existing systems.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all High Voltage Drivetrain Development. Including Designing, integrating and optimizing systems.
  • Ensure the highest level of safety whilst ensuring the best possible performance of the systems through extensive testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with a multitude of internal teams including firmware, supply chain, manufacturing.

To be successful in this position, we believe that you will have a background similar to the below:

  • Must have an extensive background within High Voltage Systems.
  • Prior experience within the Automotive space/ Electric Vehicle space is mandatory.
  • Experience building new powertrain systems from the ground up.
  • Experience maintaining and improving existing powertrain systems.
  • Electrical Engineering degree/ Electrical engineering background.

Senior Civil Engineer – Renewable EnergyLocation: Boston, MAPiper Maddox has been exclusively retained by a leading global renewable energy developer to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer.This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing renewable energy organization delivering utility-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage (BESS), hydroelectric, geothermal, and transmission infrastructure projects across North America.As a key member of the Engineering team, you will lead and review civil engineering design throughout the full project lifecycle—from early-stage development and permitting through construction, commissioning, and handover to operations. You'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical, safety, quality, and commercial standards.Key Responsibilities Lead civil engineering design activities across utility-scale renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, battery storage, hydroelectric, geothermal, substations, and transmission infrastructure. Prepare and review civil engineering designs for foundations, structural elements, drainage, grading, access roads, and associated civil works. Conduct feasibility studies, due diligence, and technical assessments for greenfield developments, repowering projects, and M&A opportunities. Support permitting, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities. Review engineering work completed by external consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and applicable engineering codes. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, structural design, and applicable engineering standards. Experience with: AutoCAD GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar) Microsoft Office Suite Revit, Tekla, or other BIM platforms (preferred) Civil 3D (preferred) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. You'll gain exposure to utility-scale wind, solar, battery storage, and transmission projects while supporting high-profile financing and M&A transactions.Working alongside experienced project finance professionals, you'll play a key role in evaluating investments, building financial models, supporting transaction execution, and helping deliver the capital needed to accelerate the clean energy transition.Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain complex financial models for renewable energy development, acquisition, and financing opportunities. Support project financing and structured finance transactions, including tax equity investments and debt financings.
