Finance Manager

Location: Houston, TX (Remote)

Salary: $150,000-$170,000

 

Piper Maddox have been assigned to a leading US renewable energy IPP as they continue to scale their investment team. The primary responsibilities for the Finance Manager include overseeing scenario analysis, offtake pricing and valuation, and financial due diligence in support of debt and tax equity financings, with a focus on advancing debt and tax equity financings through to close for utility-scale BESS projects

 

The Finance Manager will also lead preparation, maintenance, and analysis of complex project finance models for energy storage projects on the Structured Finance team.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead underwriting and financial modeling for utility-scale investments, including acquisition and development
  • Oversee the evaluation and execution of prospective investments through financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and participation in deal structuring, negotiation, and transaction execution
  • Review debt and tax credit financing transactions through financial modeling and due diligence coordination
  • Assist in the preparation of investment committee memoranda and Board materials supporting greenfield and M&A investment approvals

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Hand on experience in structured financing/investment opportunities within renewable energy
  • 5+ years of experience in clean energy finance, tax credits, project finance, investment banking, valuations, consulting, or other transaction-oriented environments.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear conclusions.
