Project Manager - Knoxville, TN & Up to 20% travel

Piper Maddox is partnering with a global leader in waste-to-energy and RNG solutions that is looking to bring on a Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale industrial EPC projects across North America.

 

This individual will be responsible for managing projects from proposal through execution, working closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience leading complex industrial capital projects, managing project budgets and schedules, and coordinating stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of large industrial EPC projects from proposal through commissioning.
  • Develop and execute project plans across FEED, EP, EPC, and BOO project delivery models.
  • Own project budgets, schedules, forecasting, cash flow, financial reporting, and overall commercial performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Lead contract management, risk mitigation, commercial negotiations, and project communications.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure projects are executed safely while meeting contractual, quality, regulatory, cost, and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

  • 6–10+ years of Project Management experience within industrial EPC environments.
  • Proven experience leading industrial capital projects valued at $50M+.
  • Experience delivering projects through FEED, EP, EPC, and/or BOO delivery models.
  • Strong experience with project planning, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, contract management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Background within Waste-to-Energy, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power Generation, Incineration, or other heavy industrial process industries.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related discipline (equivalent experience will also be considered).
  • PMP, PE, or other project management or engineering certifications.
  • Technical engineering background with the ability to understand complex industrial process technologies and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting proposal development, bid packages (ITBs), or customer presentations.
