Senior Electrical Planning Engineer (AC) | Commercial & Industrial PV / BESS The OpportunityWe're working with a leading EPC business to appoint a Senior Electrical Planning Engineer to take ownership of the AC engineering for commercial & industrial (C&I) photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Germany. This is a senior technical role where you'll lead the electrical planning process from initial design through to commissioning, acting as the key interface between engineering, project management, grid operators, customers and electrical subcontractors. What We're Looking ForWe're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in AC planning and grid connection for commercial and industrial renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will have: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or qualification as a State-Certified Technician or Master Electrician.Several years of experience in electrical planning, ideally within commercial & industrial PV, building services, switchgear or industrial electrical systems.Strong experience with AC-side engineering, including transformer stations, metering, protection and control systems.A solid understanding of German grid connection standards, particularly VDE-AR-N 4105 and VDE-AR-N 4110.Experience coordinating directly with grid operators throughout the grid connection process.Previous experience with battery energy storage (BESS) projects is advantageous but not essential.Proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar CAD software) and Microsoft Office.A structured, solution-oriented approach with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.A valid Class B driving licence.Fluent German language skills.
