The Opportunity

A fast-growing, mission-driven renewable energy company backed by a global infrastructure investor is looking to hire a Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact role with visibility across engineering, procurement, and executive leadership.

You'll play a critical part in the successful build-out of 250MW+ utility-scale projects overseeing EPC partners, managing timelines, mitigating risk, and ensuring on-budget delivery from NTP through COD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead utility-scale solar and BESS projects from notice-to-proceed through commissioning and closeout.

  • Serve as the main interface between EPC contractors, internal engineering teams, consultants, and suppliers.

  • Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules (Primavera/MS Project), budgets, and progress reports.

  • Oversee QA/QC, safety compliance, and project documentation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Coordinate permitting, interconnection, and commissioning milestones with AHJs, utilities, and stakeholders.

  • Support EPC contract execution, change order management, and vendor coordination.

  • Travel to construction sites as needed to ensure construction progress and resolve field-level issues.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a strong preference for solar and BESS.

  • Proven track record delivering projects in the 100MW+ range.

  • Deep understanding of EPC project delivery, budget control, scheduling, and contract administration.

  • Experience with self-perform and subcontractor execution models.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to collaborate across disciplines.

  • Proficiency with project management tools (Primavera, Procore, MS Project, etc.).

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field

  • PMP is essential.
