Job Summary:
The Executive Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with distributors, resellers, and other channel partners in the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) industry. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and ensuring partner success through effective relationship management, training, and sales enablement. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with a proven track record in channel management and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute channel sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets, aligning with company goals and market trends in the EVSE industry.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing partners, acting as their primary point of contact and ensuring mutual success.

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners, including distributors, integrators, and resellers, to expand the company's EVSE market footprint.

  • Negotiate partnership agreements, pricing, and terms to ensure mutually beneficial arrangements while adhering to company policies.

  • Provide partners with product training, marketing materials, and sales tools to effectively promote and sell EVSE solutions.

  • Track and analyze partner performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to optimize channel sales outcomes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure partners have the resources needed to succeed.

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and partner events to promote products and strengthen brand visibility.

  • Stay informed on EVSE industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to position the company's products effectively within the channel.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development, preferably in EVSE, renewable energy, or related technology sectors.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets through channel partners.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and relevant software.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for partner meetings, industry events, and training sessions.

  • Passion for sustainability and the electric vehicle ecosystem.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Established network of contacts within the EVSE or renewable energy industry.

  • Experience working with distributors or resellers in hardware markets.

  • Knowledge of government incentives, rebates, or policies related to EV charging infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with market segments such as:

    • Utilities (Investor-Owned Utilities & Cooperatives)

    • Fleets (Commercial Equipment, Trucks, Buses)

    • Charge Point Operators (CPO), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms

    • Retail sectors (Fueling stations, Grocery chains)

Piper Maddox have recently partnered with a leading EPC firm in an effort to help build out their Preconstruction team by adding another Preconstruction Manager.This organization have been operating for close to a decade and have reached a pivotal moment in their history - they have more confirmed projects for the next 18 months (MW wise) than they have completed in the previous 10 years. This has mostly come from no-bid projects due to their reputation in the market.In this role, you will have a number of responsibilities but they will include things like:Responsibility over all tasks and deliverables in the project development and preconstruction phases of each project to ensure the critical path activities have been met.Working closely with the Construction team at the point of handoff to ensure a successful transition.Provide ongoing support where needed.Managing and overseeing all engineering and design efforts throughout project phases, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.Collaborate with Business Development and regulatory bodies, conducting necessary technical analyses to advance projects.Approve equipment drawings, ensure constructability, and review designs for code compliance.Build and manage relationships with vendors and consultants.
