Piper Maddox is proud to partner with a market-leading construction firm in their search for two Senior Cost Estimators to join their growing Cost Estimation team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a highly respected organization that specializes in legal construction consulting across a range of high-impact commercial and residential projects.

Your Role:

As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will work alongside a team of expert legal construction specialists and be responsible for:

  • Developing and Analyzing Cost Estimates: Creating detailed cost estimates, conducting quantity takeoffs, and validating financial models and project scopes.

  • Client and Site Engagement: Collaborating with clients and visiting job sites to gather data and inform cost assessments.

  • Maintaining Project Documentation: Producing clear, accurate cost control documents, reports, and presentations.

  • Supporting Forensic and Claims Analysis: Analyzing contracts and change orders to identify cost impacts and support claims resolution.

  • Delivering Quality Work to Deadlines: Managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality, timely outputs.

About You:

We're looking for experienced professionals who bring the following:

  • Experience & Education: 3-8 years in cost estimating for commercial and residential construction, with a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

  • Software Skills: Proficiency with Xactimate, RSMeans, Timberline, Bluebeam, and/or Etakeoff.

  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational abilities.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with MEP systems, forensic/claims estimating, and insurance claims is a plus.

  • Certifications: CEP or similar cost estimator certifications are highly desirable.
