Job Summary:

The company is seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development / Origination professional to help expand its utility-scale renewable energy portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial instincts, experience negotiating power purchase agreements (PPAs), and the ability to build and maintain relationships with utilities, offtakers, and development partners. This is a high-impact role with a clear path for growth and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and originate renewable energy project opportunities (solar, storage, wind)
  • Build and maintain relationships with utilities, offtakers, and key market participants
  • Represent the company at meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Lead commercial structuring, pricing, and contract negotiations for PPAs and other offtake agreements
  • Collaborate across internal teams including development, legal, interconnection, and finance
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to inform origination strategy
  • Contribute to proposal development, RFP responses, and pitch materials
  • Serve as a primary point of contact in external commercial discussions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy origination, business development, or utility engagement
  • Strong understanding of utility-scale project development and PPA execution
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive deals forward
  • Experience with solar, wind, and/or energy storage projects preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Prior experience at a renewable energy developer and utility is a plus
