Location: Remote

Piper Maddox is partnered with a high-performing, entrepreneurial renewables advisory team within a global investment platform. They are looking to hire a Director of Business Development & Capital Markets to help lead and execute transactions.

The role spans capital markets, tax equity, transferable tax credits, and M&A advisory work. You'll work closely with the team lead and have ownership in driving both transactions and strategy. The current pipeline includes utility-scale solar, distributed generation (DG), energy storage, and manufacturing-related credits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead active transactions across tax equity, transferable credits, and capital markets.
  • Engage directly with clients (developers and corporates) to execute capital solutions.
  • Identify new market opportunities and lead efforts to deliver new services.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and support ongoing business development.

They are looking for a Director of Strategic Development to help propel their national solar + storage portfolio forward. With a robust pipeline of over 2 gigawatts and a clear path to operationalize hundreds of megawatts in the next 24 months, this company is redefining clean energy deployment across the U.S. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a sharp, entrepreneurial developer who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll report to the Chief Development Officer and own the full-cycle development process from late-stage project advancement through construction handoff. The Role:You'll be the engine behind taking mid- to late-stage solar and storage projects across the finish line - managing timelines, refining development playbooks, and ensuring every project meets internal performance and readiness standards.
