Job Title: Director of Development - East

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Developer to lead utility-scale renewable energy projects through all stages of development. This role requires a strong background in PJM and/or MISO markets and offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with land, legal, permitting, interconnection, engineering, and finance teams to drive projects from inception to construction commencement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage, or hybrid) in PJM and/or MISO markets.

  • Oversee project milestones including land acquisition, permitting, interconnection applications, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (utilities, landowners, engineers, legal counsel, and financiers).

  • Ensure smooth progression of projects through contracting, regulatory approvals, and financial readiness.

  • Support or lead negotiations for land rights, interconnection agreements, and permitting approvals.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years (more for Director-level) of professional experience in utility-scale renewable energy development.

  • Demonstrated experience in PJM and/or MISO markets is required.

  • Broad exposure across the full development lifecycle: land, real estate, permitting, interconnection, engineering, legal, and financing.

  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Bonus:

  • Experience advancing projects from greenfield through construction NTP.

  • Familiarity with energy storage and hybrid systems.
