Role: Senior O&M ManagerLocation: England - Remote/Hybrid WorkingWith 20+ years of wind & solar power experience, my client is an expert within the renewable energy industry. Additionally, they're a global competitor with over 40,000 employees across 6 continents which gives you plenty of international opportunities. They have heavily invested into their team in Berlin and are now looking for a Senior O&M Manager to help maximize availability and reliability of installations in their area.Additionally, they have 8,000MW currently under construction and a consistent pipeline of assets being added, this role will allow for natural progression due to the rapid growth of the company.ResponsibilitiesOversee, coordinate, and manage operations in wind farms and PV plants, along with associated High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) installations, to optimize production, minimize downtime, and ensure optimal maintenance of the facilities.Develop and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance (corrective, preventive) procedures for wind farms, photovoltaic plants, and related facilities, ensuring efficiency in execution.Implement necessary actions to ensure compliance with environmental certifications and monitor adherence to standards.Oversee and ensure the execution and compliance of contracts and service materials, aligning with the commitments outlined in them.Collaborate with the line manager to propose the expenses and production budget.Track area objectives/KPIs and take necessary actions to achieve them.Manage and control allocated resources (personnel, budget, materials, etc.).Supervise the commissioning of wind farms and photovoltaic plants, including associated facilities (substation, electrical lines, etc.), addressing any incidents and coordinating with relevant departments.Monitor the Standardization Program, ensuring successful completion in line with quality standards.Ensure, through economic follow-up, that the Operation and Maintenance remain within budget.Monitor various tenders, conduct technical evaluations, and manage frame agreements.Oversee subcontractors involved in O&M activities while maintaining confidentiality.Qualifications/Experience1.General:Academic background in Engineering specializing in Electricity, Electronics, and Mechanics.5 years of experience in comparable roles.2.Application:Proficiency in the equipment and components of wind farms, photovoltaic plants, and high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage installations.Knowledge of the design and operation of wind farms, photovoltaic plants, and associated electrical installations.Understanding of processes related to the generation and distribution of electrical energy.Familiarity with recommended procedures and operating parameters from equipment manufacturers.Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and equipment plans.Practical knowledge of power switches, power transformers, and power systems protection.Interpretation skills for logical control diagrams.Adherence to official regulations, especially those related to safety (distances, risks, etc.).Proficiency in basic computing (Word, Excel, Windows, etc.).Knowledge of first aid standards.Awareness of Legislation on Prevention of Occupational Risks and Environment.3.Languages:Proficient in German (Advanced).Proficient in English (Advanced).Proficient in Spanish (Recommended).In addition to this exciting opportunity to join a growing international organisation, they are also offering many opportunities to progress and training to develop your knowledge further.If interested, please apply:Piper Maddox is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
