Job Title: Construction Site Manager

Projects: Large-Scale Solar & BESS

Location: Bavaria (projects across Bavaria & Baden-Württemberg)

Salary: €80,000 + Company Car

About the Role

Piper Maddox has partnered with a lean renewable energy developer with over 30 years of experience in the German market. The business delivers ground-mounted and rooftop photovoltaic projects, with multiple utility-scale BESS developments also in the pipeline.

Due to a growing project portfolio, they are now looking to appoint a Construction Manager to oversee on-site delivery of large-scale PV projects across Southern Germany.

This role is heavily site-focused and offers real ownership across construction execution, subcontractor management, and project handover.

Your Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee PV plant construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Monitor and enforce health & safety standards and construction site regulations
Prepare construction site documentation and regular progress reports
Organise and lead site meetings with subcontractors and clients
Manage service providers and handle communication around defects, delays, and corrective actions
Conduct acceptance testing and handovers with contractors and customers

Your Profile

Technical vocational training with technician qualification, or a degree in engineering, civil engineering, plant engineering, or similar
Ideally initial experience in construction management (renewable energy or infrastructure preferred)
Knowledge of relevant construction regulations, standards, and safety requirements
Strong communication and negotiation skills with subcontractors, clients, and grid operators
Independent, organised, and confident taking responsibility on site
Class B driving licence
Fluent German and good English skills
Willingness to travel nationally (projects mainly across Bavaria & Baden-Württemberg)
Previous PV project experience is highly desirable

Planning & Environmental Project Manager

Project Manager - Environmental & Planning Team Salary & Logistics: Up to £30,000 DOE + wider package. Cornwall Office Location Technology: Utility Scale Solar and Onshore Wind projects, as well as smaller scale wind schemes. This company are a fully fledged IPP who cover the full project lifecycle from inception through to a project being operational and have the demonstrable know how to delivery their development pipeline. This company specialize in the development, construction, and operation of Solar and Onshore Wind projects at a variety of scales, making up a diverse portfolio of assets that you could contribute to. This diverse portfolio also allows this company to be very agile in an every changing market. Our client have a tight knit and collaborative team from early stage development, technical & engineering professionals, and into in house O&M capabilities. The team are at a good size where they are large enough to be a solid presence in the industry without losing dynamism in their decision making processes. If you’re more of a junior candidate, then don’t shy away from applying, as there will be a more Senior Grid Specialist to support you! Position: Grid Connection Engineer for Solar & BESSLocation: Office locations around North East Germany, open to remote working.Base salary: Up to €85, 000. For more senior candidates, up to €100, 000. What you bring: 2 years' minimum experience with grid connections for largescale renewables (wind/solar/BESS).Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Experience with compliance according to VDE-AR-N 4110, 4120.Proven experience making grid applications in Germany.Experience using grid technologies and software (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).FLUENT German required.
