Finance Associate

Location: Tysons Corner, VA

Salary Expectations: $90,000 - $130,000 + bonus

Piper Maddox have been assigned to a leading US renewable energy IPP as they continue to scale their investment team. The primary responsibilities for the Finance Associate include capital raises, preparation of investment materials, and financial due diligence in support of M&A opportunities for solar and BESS projects.

The Finance Associate will also support the preparation, maintenance, and analysis of complex project finance models for energy storage and onsite/offsite solar projects on the Strategic Finance team.

What you will do:

Manage underwriting and financial modeling for renewable investments, including acquisition and development
Support the evaluation and execution of prospective investments through financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and participation in deal structuring, negotiation, and transaction execution
Financial modeling and due diligence coordination for M&A opportunities
Assist in the preparation of investment committee memoranda and board materials for capital markets initiatives

What you will have:

Hand on experience in structured financing/investment opportunities within renewable energy
1-5 years of experience in clean energy finance, tax credits, project finance, investment banking, valuations, consulting, or other transaction-oriented environments.
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear conclusions.
