A global organisation with a rapidly expanding UK presence is seeking a commercially driven Sales Director to lead national sales efforts across public EV charging infrastructure and commercial rooftop Solar PV installations. This role is central to driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and building a high-performing sales organisation within a fast-paced, evolving industry.


The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in the B2B energy or electrical infrastructure sectors, with strong knowledge of EV charging, particularly DC installations and ICP processes. They will play a key role in shaping go-to-market strategy, winning new business, and fostering long-term client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Strategy: Leads the creation and execution of a high-impact sales strategy aligned with the organisation's commercial objectives, focusing on market share growth and high-value partnerships.
Team Development & Management: Builds and manages a results-driven sales team, instilling a culture of accountability, professional development, and performance excellence.
Client Development & Retention: Personally engages key clients and prospects, secures major contracts, and ensures exceptional customer satisfaction and retention across the client base.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinates closely with Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless delivery of client projects and alignment with business goals.
Market Positioning: Represents the company at senior-level meetings, industry events, and in discussions with key stakeholders to enhance the company's visibility and influence.
Commercial Reporting: Provides detailed sales performance reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to the executive team to guide decision-making and future strategy.
Customer Experience Oversight: Oversees the customer journey from initial engagement through delivery, ensuring service excellence and effective issue resolution.


Required Skills & Experience:
Sales Leadership: Demonstrates a strong track record of leading and scaling B2B sales teams, preferably within the EV charging, renewable energy, or electrical infrastructure sectors.
Industry Expertise: Brings in-depth knowledge of public EV charging infrastructure, particularly involving DC charging stations and ICP processes. Experience with commercial Solar PV systems is highly desirable.
Strategic and Commercial Acumen: Possesses a high level of strategic thinking and commercial insight, capable of navigating complex sales cycles and competitive landscapes.
Client Relationship Management: Skilled in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and managing high-value client relationships to successful outcomes.
Technical Understanding: Comfortable collaborating with technical teams and discussing technical solutions with clients.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: Adept at using data and performance metrics to refine sales approaches and drive continuous improvement.


Qualifications:
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or equivalent business education is a plus).
Has at least 5 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role within the B2B EV, renewable energy, or electrical industry.
Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
