The Opportunity

We are seeking a Business Development professional with strong experience in the utility-scale renewable energy sector—someone who excels at building authentic relationships, identifying opportunities, and converting them into long-term partnerships. This role will be instrumental in expanding market presence across solar, battery energy storage (BESS), and substation projects, supporting continued leadership in quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the solar, BESS, and substation markets

  • Leverage an established industry network (e.g., EPCs, developers, IPPs) to generate qualified leads and drive growth

  • Execute both cold and warm outreach strategies to establish new client relationships

  • Manage and grow client accounts, ensuring high levels of service and long-term partnership development

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on proposals, negotiations, and strategic initiatives

  • Represent the organization at industry events and conferences to increase visibility and strengthen connections

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience in business development or sales within utility-scale solar or renewable energy

  • Experience with a developer, IPP, EPC, or engineering firm strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success in generating and maintaining high-value client relationships

  • A strong, active network of industry contacts that can be immediately leveraged

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
