Piper Maddox are supporting a leading independent consultancy firm with over 20 years of experience across the renewable energy sector. With an established global presence and partnerships spanning more than 60 countries, they provide expert advisory and asset management services across a diverse portfolio of renewable projects.

 

Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of solar assets, they are looking to appoint a Junior Asset Manager to join their London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early-stage renewable energy experience who is looking to develop their career within a well-respected, international consultancy environment.

 

The Role

 

Working closely with senior asset managers and technical specialists, you will support the management of a portfolio of operational solar PV assets. The role will involve a mix of technical oversight, financial monitoring, and stakeholder coordination to ensure assets are operating safely, efficiently, and in line with performance expectations.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the technical management and performance monitoring of solar PV assets

  • Assisting with the review of O&M reports and contractor performance

  • Supporting budgeting processes and reviewing operational expenditure (OPEX)

  • Monitoring KPIs, availability, and production against forecasts

  • Coordinating with internal teams, external contractors, and asset owners

  • Assisting with reporting to clients and investors

  • Supporting site visits and inspections where required

About You

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience within the renewable energy sector, ideally with exposure to solar PV projects. You will have a strong analytical mindset, good commercial awareness, and an eagerness to build a long-term career in asset management.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in renewable energy (solar preferred)

  • Exposure to technical or operational aspects of renewable assets

  • Understanding of budgeting and operational expenditure review

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Right to work in the UK
