Piper Maddox are currently recruiting for a Payroll Director to join our client – a $1 Billion dollar manufacturing firm.

In this role, you will be responsible for a number of things including:

  • Overseeing end-to-end payroll operations (processing, time & attendance, tax filings, garnishments, prevailing wage compliance) and serve as SME/escalation point.
  • Manage the entire Payroll team.
  • Maintain prevailing wage rates and fringe benefit tables in line with federal, state, and county requirements
  • Liaise with DOL and third parties on prevailing wage and certified payroll compliance

The ideal candidate will have a background similar to the below:

  • A minimum of 5 years working within Payroll.
  • Extensive experience with the UKG systems.
  • Must have experience in a leadership, managerial or supervisory position.
  • Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Unions will be extremely valuable.

This role requires a commercially focused leader with strong technical expertise who can successfully manage the full project lifecycle from initial proposal through execution and project closeout while driving financial performance, client satisfaction, and successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of 2–3 Project Managers, driving high performance and accountability.Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and overall execution goals.Partner closely with Contracts and Legal teams to support proposal development, contract negotiation, and project delivery.Develop and implement project execution strategies, ensuring adherence to internal processes and best practices.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships, ensuring contract compliance, and resolving issues effectively.
