My client is a rapid-growing engineering and construction firm based in Austin, TX. They specialize in complex energy projects that make a real impact. They deliver innovative solutions across solar, microgrids, combined heat and power, and other advanced energy systems — helping clients improve resiliency, reduce costs, and meet sustainability goals.

 

Required

BSME, BSEE, or a four-year technical degree in Construction Management (or equivalent).

7+ years of progressive engineering experience in complex energy projects, including microgrids, power generation, and combined heat and power (CHP).

Hands-on solar energy construction experience.

State Professional Engineering license preferred; OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written.

Financial analysis expertise for forecasting project economics and managing budgets.

Skilled negotiator, able to protect project interests while maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Proven ability to prepare accurate customer reports and responses with a focus on client goals and needs.

Experience creating and executing project development and delivery schedules.

Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and budgets, with collaborative problem-solving skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

High standards for accuracy, organization, and thorough documentation.

Ability to review engineering work across all major energy project scope areas.

Solid understanding of contract scopes of work and their alignment with subcontractor deliverables.

Ability to review and refine energy analysis performed by others for projects of all sizes.

Familiarity with project engineer responsibilities in project development and delivery.

Knowledge of duration and requirements for energy measure development and implementation.

Experience preparing and interpreting proformas.

Understanding of general construction methods and ability to collaborate with construction managers to deliver projects successfully.
