Financial Asset Management Analyst

Compensation: $100,000 (base + bonus)

Location: Maryland, USA (Hybrid)

 

Piper Maddox is partnering with a growing renewable energy investment platform focused on the ownership and operation of distributed generation assets across the U.S.

 

The firm operates as a financial owner of renewable infrastructure, partnering with developers and EPCs to acquire and manage solar, storage, and community energy assets post-construction. The business is entering a significant growth phase, supported by institutional capital and a strong pipeline of new opportunities.

 

The team is looking to add a Financial Asset Management Analyst to support the financial performance and ongoing management of a portfolio of community solar assets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial performance of community solar assets, including budget vs. actual tracking and variance analysis
  • Oversee subscription and revenue performance, coordinating with third-party providers to maintain asset optimization
  • Support billing, cash flow, and financial reconciliations, working closely with internal accounting teams
  • Track and optimize incentives, RECs, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Prepare portfolio and asset-level reporting for internal stakeholders and external investors
  • Analyze and reconcile large, multi-source datasets, identifying issues and driving performance improvements

 

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in renewable energy, finance, accounting, or a related analytical role
  • Exposure to community solar, distributed generation, or energy infrastructure preferred
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to work through imperfect or complex datasets
  • Understanding of energy markets, billing structures, or incentive frameworks is a plus
  • Highly proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently

This is a high-visibility leadership role for an experienced external reporting professional who wants to make a real impact. You will take full ownership of SEC and regulatory filings, lead and develop a high-performing team, and drive key process improvements while shaping the organization’s financial reporting strategy during an exciting period of evolution.
